Prago

Prago / Walks in Prague

An offline audio guide to Prague

Put your headphones in, press one gold button, and Prago tells you what you are walking past. The map lives on the phone, so it works with no signal at all.

Does a Prague audio guide work offline?

Prago does. The map of Prague and all 449 places are inside the app, so it works with no signal, no data and no roaming bill. Nothing downloads while you walk.

How does it know when to speak?

You press one gold button and walk. When you reach a place, it plays a short story about it. When you walk along a street and no sight is close, the street’s own short story plays. It stays quiet when you stand still.

How long are the stories?

Each place has a line on what you are looking at, a short story of about half a minute, and a long one of three to five minutes.

Does it track me or need an account?

No. There is no sign-in, no analytics and no ads. Your position is used on the iPhone only. Favourites, notes and walked streets stay on the phone, and you can export or erase them in Settings.

Which languages does it speak?

English for now, both the text and the voice.

What is in the guide?

449 places, 235 street stories, 15 walks including a seven day journey through Czech history with 47 stops, and 476 photos, each credited to its author.

Which phones does it run on?

iPhone with iOS 17 or later. There is no Android version yet.

Is it a tickets or tram times app?

No. It has no booking, no tickets and no live tram times.

Try it on a walk
